New challenges

I wanted to take on a new challenge as we continue onward into the new year. Since January is ending, I thought it would be fun to start a project. I saw this on another blog, and decided for the month of February I would try it! This is a photo day challenge for each day of the month. The images will be personal to me, and therefore, a little scary to show at times! But... I think it will be fun as well. So tomorrow will start the first day of my new challenge!

Also, I found this image and thought it was great! These are things I always have trouble doing in my life. I am constantly a work in progress... so every now and then I need to focus more on this and less on the littler issues!

Black and White

I love a classic black and white look. I think there is something timeless and elegant about the color pairing. The colors represent both hard and soft on the color scale, and therefore, create a beautiful look.

That's a wrap

My family always jokes that my "typical" style is either a scarf , statement necklace or pair of earrings when going out.... which is basically true. I have a huge collection of scarves that I have collected over the years. I have a wide variety of colors, materials and lengths. What I love about a scarf, is that they can add color needed while providing that little extra something to an outfit. I love that you can wear a scarf  throughout the entire year. Choose heavier, darker prints for the winter and then switch to playful, more colorful prints in the summer/spring.
