Pep in your step

Working out... just saying the word sometimes makes me tired! Some people love it, others... not so much! But a way to encourage yourself a little more, is to look the part. Dressing for any occasion helps put your mind in the right "mind set." If you dress the part, then you are already one step ahead. Two specific go-to's for me are a pair of stretch Nike running pants, and a vest. These two items alone make for a great workout wardrobe. I am a huge tennis player myself, and when it is cold, and you don't want to wear a ton of layers, a vest is a great investment. Also, when running around town, I find myself in a pair of Nike pants and fleece jacket always! So step up your look, and get to the gym!!!!

think PINK

think PINK... this is a hard one. I figure since I am in the mind set of Valentine's day, I would continue with the spirit of the Holiday! Considering I am not the biggest fan of the color (I say this ironically as I am wearing a hot pink shirt today), I have come to realize that pink can be more than just the color of a 5 year old girl's room. Pink is a very bold color, no way around that! However, if you find the right shade for you, it somehow turns into your own personality!

This room is perfect for the teenage/young 20 something girl. With the light shade of pink for the walls, neutral colors for bedding, and just a splash of pink for the accents, this makes for a great room!

However, if you are like me and prefer the more neutral look for interiors, try accenting with pink in a minor way. The trim and pillows reflect a subtle color palette for this room. The flowers don't hurt either! *Notice the trim on the chair to the side- what a great concept of adding a color to a room, in a non-stand out way!

Of course, for those that do have the little girl, this pink room is, well, perfect! The mix-match of fabrics is incredible!!! The way to pull this room off is to go crazy with the patterns in fabric, but then keep the bedding simple!

This room is awesome!!! The patterned walls and neutral furniture is a great way to make the room seem bigger. Then the hint of pink with the ottoman and pillows, allow for another color to pop within in room. This is great for a sun room or extra space in a house. Wallpaper, if done right, can make a room!

This is a great example of how to add an item of pink (or any color really) to a room, without going overboard. Again, neutral palette, and then add one of two things to the room to make the color of your choice stand out. Painting are great to add to a room. Whether you splurge for the great piece of artwork at your local gallery, or you become a Van Gogh yourself, paintings are a wonderful way to express yourself!

Though I am not the biggest fan of pink, I am in love with this room. I love the dusty pink colored walls, and the beautiful patterned fabric for the drapes and chair. This room is perfection for this color. Though the mirror above the bed is not my favorite, the pictures frames are another great accent to any room.

And lastly, more favorites on the color....
